Krystal Hays, Owner and Founder of Pen to Paper
I grew up admiring my grandmother’s handwriting and quickly became obsessed with the all things pens and markers. I loved seeing the art I could create with just my handwriting. Recently, I had the opportunity to turn my obsession into a business with Pen to Paper.
Pen to Paper grew from my love of calligraphy and the hatred of the mess it makes. I loved addressing envelopes, making signs, and designing notes to my loved ones. But, the hassle and the mess of cleanup put my calligraphy career on hold for a long time. I knew there had to be a better way to keep my passion and eliminate the mess. Brush Calligraphy is that answer. It is a great tool for everyone to learn that adores lettering as much as I do.
I am a lover of all things art and design. I graduated with a degree in Art Education and was an Art Teacher for five years in the Edmond Public School system. I am married to an amazing man who supports my creative spirit even when he comes home and the ceiling may be painted black… I am a mom to my daughter Lorelai and son Harrison. I have two yorkies, Layla and Lulu. I love teaching others how to make art everyday with just their handwriting; so join me and discover what you can do with just one pen!
